Catchcertificate to EU from 1.January 2010
EU regulations require catchcertificates for all seafood imports as from 1.January 2010. This requirement applies whether the prawns are exported directly or through third countries. Norway Prawns has implemented this in our procedures and are issuing catchcertificates for all our deliveries to the EU.
The documents are issued and validated electronically in accordance with the "Agreed Record of Conclusions of Fisheries Consultations" between Norway and the European Community on Regulation EC 1005/2008 to prevent, deter and eliminate IUU fishing. All documents are signed electronically by the exporter and the validating authority. Thus there are no stamps or handwritten signatures on the documents.
